Long Course – All Occupations

• Our Institution enrolls students who have completed form four level for long courses, particularly in Information and Communication Technology, Design Sewing and Cloth Technology, and Food Production.

Our Institution is offering three (3) courses listed below which are of benefit for the young people in the society. These courses are offered for two (2) years and the trainee is awarded a government Certificate which will enable them job opportunities as well as self-employment.

• Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
  • Computer course is so helpful to many young people who are self-employed especially in keeping records and updating their business with the labour market.
  • Computer knowledge will enable them with competence and create job opportunities such as secretary work, record keeper and receptionist.
  • Computer course enables one to gain skills of Installation, Repair, Servicing and Maintenance.
  • Many employers expect professional IT skills from their workers and knowledge in computer theory and practice. Its skills make applications for schools, universities and jobs much easier.
• Hotel Management Course.
  • Under this section, we offer the following courses, Food Production (FP), Front Office Operations (FOO) and Housekeeping (HK). This will enable many young people to work in hotels and even start small businesses as self-employment.
• Design, Sewing, and Cloth Technology.
  • Design, Sewing, and cloth Technology will enable many young people to employ themselves by starting sewing businesses to earn their living.

Vocational Training Centre admission process, available courses, application forms, selected applicants and joining instructions for the current academic year.

• Mother Paula VTC is creating a unique and innovative environment that will be attractive to trainees seeking hands on integrated learning opportunities.
• Admissions criteria to Mother Paula VTC include Trainees from different backgrounds for example standard seven, form four (IV) or above provided that the aspirant is literate.
• The teachers and academic advisors will intervene to ensure that students get appropriate assistance to address deficiencies in their academic progress.
• The strains of keeping up with a challenging curriculum being away from home and the everyday pressures of life may require dedicated support and guidance. Mother Paula VTC will have enough counselors to ensure any trainee needing support will receive it quickly and professionally.
• Mother Paula VTC’s Division of Student Affairs will advocate a holistic approach to education and enhance the overall Centre experience for students. The department will encourage support and guide student’s extracurricular activities while providing the best resources for a fulfilling and rewarding academic experience.
• In Mother Paula VTC we shall adopt VETA Curriculum and Training approach.

Mother Paula Institution also offers short courses for three (3) or six (6) months. These short courses are offered for all levels of education and different age groups.

There are as follows:-

1. Designs and Fashions.
2. Computer application in all stages and packages.

1. Short Course – Design, Sewing and Cloth Technology Course
   • For short course we offer it to the standard seven level for only Design, Sewing and Cloth Technology.
   • MPVTC understands that individuals and organizations have need and requirements that are unique and existing short course might not be in a position to address them successfully.
   • It is this spirit that we are prepared to Design, Sewing and Cloth Technology interventions to the specific needs and requirements of our client.

2. Short Course- Computer Application Course CONSULTATION
   • MPVTC offers Computer Application short course that aim at practical importing participants with knowledge and practical skills through a hand-on training methodology.
     • Minimum age 16 years.
